Founded in 1882 by Phraya Suren Rachasena (Phueng Singhaseni), grandson of the famous general Chao Phraya Bodindecha, Wat Prayasuren is a historic Buddhist temple in Bangkok’s Khlong Sam Wa district, famous for its large Buddha statues, sacred rituals, and unique practice of walking beneath the ordination hall for blessings.
