Sanam Luang
Historic Place
Sanam Luang is a 12-hectare oval square in front of the Royal Palace in Bangkok. Various royal celebrations and ceremonies are held here. Several events are held on May 15th, the most important of which is the Royal Plow Ceremony, marking the beginning of the rice harvest. The birthdays of the king and queen are also traditionally celebrated at the square.
