Le Morne Brabant is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on an unusually shaped peninsula in the southwestern part of Mauritius. The height of the mountain is 556 meters above sea level, and the peak covers an area of more than 12 hectares with numerous caves and ledges on the steep slopes. Le Maur-Brabant is home to a large number of endemic plant species, such as Trochetia Boutonia, which is the flower symbol of Mautitius. From the top of the mountain there is a stunning view of the island, lagoon and coral reefs, and an underwater waterfall is partially visible. The trekking length in one direction is 3.5 km. At the foot of the mountain lies Le Morne Beach with silky sand and crystal clear water. Le Morne is one of the best places in the world for kite surfing, windsurfing and paddleboarding.
