A small rocky island in Grand Port Bay, located on a coral reef, has a truly breathtaking panorama. It sits proudly in the middle of a lagoon of calm turquoise water that is home to an incredibly large variety of sea urchins. At the highest point of the island there is a ruined lighthouse and the adjacent guardian's house. They represent two impressive historical monuments. Inside the lighthouse, a spiral staircase made of basalt stone has still been preserved. The doors and windows are lined with carved stone, and the walls are made of coral masonry. The island has defied time and still stands in all its splendor, with many amazing and exciting stories to tell.
