The Jummah Mosque, built in the 1850s, is one of the oldest operating religious buildings on the island. Talented craftsmen from India were hired for styling, decoration, figurative work, and ornamentation. The mosque is constantly visited by Islamic leaders, scientists, and naathvans. It has survived to this day in extremely good condition and is described in the tourist service guide as a star among the most beautiful religious buildings in the country.
